In 2001, Marmalade, by Polish born designer Magdalena Sokolowska, opened as a vintage clothing boutique in Toronto’s Kensington Market. That same year, Marmalade’s own first run of ladies a-line, 1960’s influenced dresses went on sale to an encouraging response. Today, Marmalade continues to produce collections to welcomed applause by a growing list of customers around the globe as we maintain our commitment to affordable, impeccably produced garments of reassuring quality and timeless attraction.
Marmalade Clothing International holds offices in Toronto and Berlin and produces garments only under assured strict ethical conditions both in North America and in Europe. Our fabrics are sourced from European mills that cater to the luxury consumer and our production runs are large enough for good things to happen, but small enough for us to still personally attend to. Our mandate to release well crafted, beautifully fitting pieces, remains the core value of the Marmalade brand. |
